Conformance to AI4EA is based on decision coverage rather than technology selection. An initiative can be considered aligned with AI4EA when it can demonstrate the ten conformance statements — available as an interactive checklist under Tools.

AI4EA conformance does not require any specific model, vendor, cloud provider, agent framework, database, protocol or implementation technology.

16.1 Tailoring

Organizations should tailor methods, scoring weights, readiness targets, gate criteria and artifact depth according to industry obligations, risk appetite, architecture governance and delivery practices. Tailoring should preserve the intent of the framework: business alignment, explicit architecture decisions, proportionate governance, scalable execution and measurable value.

17. Closing Perspective

AI adoption is not primarily a model-selection exercise. At enterprise scale, AI becomes a combination of strategy, architecture, data, knowledge, platforms, integration, governance, people, economics and organizational change.

Enterprise Architecture provides the connective discipline required to manage these concerns as a coherent system. AI4EA connects strategy to opportunity, opportunity to architecture, architecture to execution, execution to governance, governance to measurement, and measurement back to architecture.
