Applying AI4EA

Eight steps for adopting the framework proportionately.

AI4EA is intended to be adapted rather than mechanically implemented. Organizations may apply the complete framework when establishing an enterprise AI capability or use selected methods and artifacts when evaluating an individual initiative.

  1. 1Align strategy. Establish AI direction, architecture principles and expected enterprise outcomes.
  2. 2Build the opportunity portfolio. Identify, assess and prioritize AI use cases.
  3. 3Assess readiness. Determine whether enterprise capabilities are sufficient for the targeted portfolio.
  4. 4Architect the solution. Apply the four AI4EA Core Engine pillars.
  5. 5Establish ownership. Define Central AI Hub and domain responsibilities.
  6. 6Execute through phase gates. Move deliberately from discovery through build, deployment and scale.
  7. 7Measure enterprise value. Connect technical performance with use-case and enterprise outcomes.
  8. 8Continuously improve. Use operational evidence to refine governance, platforms, architecture and investment priorities.
